Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. We offer hourly pay, not flat rate along with paid holidays and paid vacations. We also pay 100% of the employees Health Insurance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in vehicle maintenance and automotive service. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles while ensuring the highest level of customer service. Your expertise will contribute to the overall satisfaction of our clients and the efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough inspections and diagnostics on vehicles using advanced tools and equipment.
- Execute repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive issues effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely completion of services while adhering to safety protocols.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently in accordance with industry standards.
- Operate vehicle lifts. Inspect vehicles to determine overall condition
- Record information about parts, materials or repair procedures.
- Operate transportation equipment to demonstrate function or malfunction.
- Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
- Adjust vehicle components according to specifications.
- Repair non-engine automotive or vehicle components.
- Read work orders or descriptions of problems to determine repairs or modifications needed.
- Inspect gas systems or components to identify leaks or other potential hazards.
- Inspect mechanical components of vehicles to identify problems.
- Service vehicles to maintain functionality.
- Repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
- Service heating, ventilation or air-conditioning (HVAC) systems or components.
- Test electrical circuits or components for proper functioning.
- Rebuild parts or components.
- Rewire electrical or electronic systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment or systems operation problems.
- Repair defective engines or engine components.
- Install vehicle parts or accessories.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician in a dealership or independent shop setting is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair automotive issues accurately.
- Familiarity with auto estimating processes and parts procurement is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment relevant to automotive repair.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- A valid driver’s license is required; additional certifications related to automotive service are advantageous.
